Did you know that tamburitzas by the Kos family from Pitomača are played all over the world where Croatians preserve their heritage- from Austria, Germany, to the USA, Canada and Australia? Did you know that the first tamburitza band in Pitomača was founded in 1906? Surely you did not know that the first tamburitza gatherings were held in Pitomača?

All these facts led to the founding of the music festival “Songs from Podravina and Podravlje’’, which releases and promotes the creativity of artists through new songs inspired by the heritage of the Croatian regions along the Drava.
